Antonin Kratochvil will, for the fourth time, lead his students directly to
Chernobyl to allow them a look beneath the surface of this 25-year-old tragedy,
which still resonates to this day. Students of previous workshops have won awards
with their Chernobyl work.

LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph is a celebration of photography, created by
photographers, for those who share a passion for the still image. The Festival
features exhibits and on-stage appearances of three “legacy” photographers,
including Antonin Kratochvil/VII, as well as many exhibitions, outdoor screenings,
and projections over three days and nights. Historic downtown Charlottesville is
transformed into a living image with photographs hanging in the trees, projected in
storefront windows and on the sides of buildings, as well as in all the galleries.
This year's LOOK3 will host conversations and workshops with Antonin Kratochvil and
Ashley Gilbertson, and will present work by VII photographers and others.
