He has received numerous literary awards and his books have appeared on bestseller lists in Brazil, the UK, the USA, France, Germany, Iran, Canada, Italy, Israel, Finland, Serbia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, and Lithuania. The all-time best selling Portuguese language author also writes a weekly column that is published in more than 45 countries.

His latest book, The Witch of Portobello, is based in London, and is filled with his familiar themes: spirituality, relationships, destiny and freedom.
