The narrow piece of land between Egypt, Israel and the Mediterranean Sea is the Gaza Strip, home to about 1.5 million Palestinians whose daily struggle is against sinking into the vertigo of endless arguments over territory, religious beliefs, and identity. Since Hamas took over the control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, following several anarchic months, international sanctions were tightened putting Gaza at the edge of a humanitarian catastrophe. The restrictions applied by the military and political conflicts have paralyzed the people of Gaza and now they are losing their time, trapped in this man-made vacuum.
