Anastasia Taylor-Lind speaks about her latest story, The National Womb from Nagorno Karabakh, after participating in the 18th Joop Swart Masterclass.

In spring 2011, an international committee surveyed portfolios submitted by over 175 nominated photographers and selected 12 young photographers to participate in the 18th Joop Swart Masterclass. Each of the 12 photographers was asked to prepare a photo essay on the theme Respect for the masterclass, which was held in Amsterdam from 28 October until 3 November. During the masterclass, the participants had the chance to discuss their work in detail with six leading professionals. The masters spoke and gave presentations on their particular fields, and led in-depth discussions on other aspects of photojournalism.
