VII Mentor Program photographer Laura El-Tantawy has been selected as part of the sixth edition of the Foam Talent Call 2012 for her body of work “In the Shadow of the Pyramids: Egypt,” which explores the essence of Egyptian identity starting in 2005 through the present.

El-Tantawy is one of 16 artists chosen to be featured in the Foam Talent issue, which will be launched in September 2012 during the Unseen Photography Fair in Amsterdam, which includes a large billboard exhibition of the selected photographers.

The Foam Magazine Talent issue is designed to showcase young photographers from all over the world. It is one of the photographic industry’s most prestigious contests for young photographers. It is a career building platform, helping to launch aspiring talents into the international photography industry and giving them international acclaim and recognition.
