Philosophical storytelling in combination with deep research on topics or issues, going beyond the expected and simplistic photographic story. John will request each photographer to approach their project lyrically — nearly musically — while bringing to the finished essay a rooted and unexpected perspective of events which not only manifested themselves naturally, but also grew to unforeseen importance because of scrutiny done before ever taking out the camera.
