Oslo, NorwayAn image from Ron Haviv’s series, “Blood and Honey,” about conflict in Yugoslavia and the suffering of the Balkan people, has been selected for display at the Nobel Peace Center in Norway as part of an exhibition titled, “Europe from War to Peace.” The exhibition will be on view through November 26, 2013.
- Screening | The Long Shadow of Incarceration’s Stigma
The Bronx Documentary Center will host a screening and panel discussion of “The Long Shadow of Incarceration’s Stigma,” a short documentary film created by VII in partnership with the Think Outside the Cell Foundation on the experience of reentry into society in the United States after prison.
- Prix de la Photographie 2012
Ron Haviv and Franco Pagetti are among the photographers recognized at this year’s Prix de la Photographie.

Ron Haviv has been recognized as a Gold Medallist in the Prix de la Photography, Paris (Px3) Awards for his work, “Glimpses of the Fall of Tripoli,” from Libya in 2011.
- VII Announces Partnership with Think Outside the Cell Foundation
VII Photo Agency announces a new partnership with Think Outside the Cell Foundation to launch a documentary project addressing the stigma of incarceration in the United States.VII photographers Jessica Dimmock, Ashley Gilbertson, Ron Haviv and Ed Kashi are collaborating as a team shadowing the subjects day-to-day as they deal with the challenges of reintegrating into society.
- Kickstarter | The Bosnia Book Project. Bosnia 1992 – 1995
In September 2011, Gary Knight assembled a group of photographers and writers, who had covered the war in Bosnia and conceptualized a book about the war to commemorate the beginning of the conflict and to re-engage with the country. The idea was 15 years in the making.
