5 day workshop in one of the most culturally diverse areas in the
US.
The Dutch might have been the first to settle here but Brooklyn is
now the modern day American melting pot. From a little piece of old
style Russia in Brighton Beach to the recent immigration of Mexicans
and Chinese in Sunset Park, New York’s most populous borough
(if it were a city, the population would rate the third highest behind
LA and Chicago) is home to a multitude of culturally rich ethnicities.
Antonin Kratochvil and Ron Haviv will explore the diverse communities
living alongside the thriving independent art scene and unique architectural
heritage which make up the identity of this vibrant neighborhood.
